What we do
Development that starts with the data model, not another app.
Most “we need a developer” requests turn out to be data-model problems wearing a costume. The theme can’t reach the data it needs, so someone installs an app. Three apps later, your product page ships a megabyte of somebody else’s JavaScript. We work in the opposite order: metafields and metaobjects first, then native Online Store 2.0 sections that read them, then Shopify Functions for logic that belongs in the platform. A custom app comes last, and only where Shopify genuinely stops. The order is the point. It keeps the storefront fast, keeps your content queryable through the Storefront API, and means the next developer can read what the last one did.

Product pages dragged on mobile. Marketing blamed the photography. What was actually happening: paid traffic bounced before the buy button rendered.
Three overlapping review and upsell apps, each dropping render-blocking scripts into every product template. Two of them were storing data the catalog already held.
We rebuilt two of them as native sections reading metafields, and held the third back until the shopper interacts. LCP back inside budget, and two subscriptions gone from the monthly app bill.

What does Shopify development cost?
Projects are quoted fixed, after a free triage. We won’t give you a number before we’ve read the theme. Ongoing engineering runs $1,950/month, or $3,900/month (Growth) when the roadmap needs more hands. Rescue work on a broken build starts at $500 per incident. See plans.
Do you build custom Shopify apps?
Yes, when the platform genuinely stops. If metafields, Functions or a native section can do the job instead, we’ll tell you that and save you the build. A custom app you didn’t need is one more thing to patch, host and worry about.
Can you customize checkout on Shopify Plus?
Yes. We build checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions under Checkout Extensibility. If the checkout.liquid deprecation stranded your old customizations, we rebuild them properly, so the next platform upgrade doesn’t break them all over again.
Do you handle migrations from WooCommerce or Magento?
Yes. Catalog, customers, order history and redirects, rehearsed on a staging store before anything real moves. We also finish migrations other teams started; “stuck halfway” is a common intake here. Rankings hold because the redirect map ships before launch, not after.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Monitoring starts at $595/month. When something critical breaks, a senior engineer sends the first reply in under 2 hours, seven days a week. Nothing we ship goes out undocumented.
