Service / AI readiness
Ecommerce AI readiness: make your catalog make sense to a machine.
Your customers are asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Amazon Rufus what to buy. Those answers get assembled from data, not from your homepage copy. If your schema, your feed and your policy pages tell three different stories, the assistant drops you and names someone else. We clean the data, keep it clean, and show you what comes back.
Symptoms
What it looks like when assistants skip you.
- You ask ChatGPT for a product you sell and it names a competitor
- Your site, your feed and your schema quote different prices for the same item
- Schema errors have been sitting in Search Console for months and nobody reads them
- Nobody can tell you how much traffic arrives from AI assistants
- The price in your structured data is weeks behind the price on the page
- An assistant describes one of your products and gets the details wrong
What we do
This is data hygiene. It is not a growth hack.
Shopping agents don’t browse. They parse. They read your Product, Offer and Review schema, your feeds, and your shipping and returns policies, and they throw out anything that argues with itself. A price that says one thing on the page and another in the feed doesn’t get a second chance; it gets you left out. So most of ecommerce AI readiness is unglamorous cleanup. The field is young and it keeps moving, so we won’t promise you rankings. We fix what is verifiably broken, keep it correct, and track what the assistants actually send you.
One price, one source
- We read every Product, Offer & Review tag you emit
- Duplicate schema emitters get cut down to one
- Price & availability checked on page, feed and schema
- The Search Console error list gets cleared
Feeds & getting crawled
- Rebuild the feed, then diff it against the live site
- Pages that hold up for crawlers, not just browsers
- Shipping & returns written so a parser can use them
- Find out what your robots rules do to AI crawlers
Watch it, month after month
- AI referrals split out in your analytics
- An alert when a deploy breaks your schema
- We ask the assistants about your products by hand
- A written note every month
From the field
A niche store never turned up in assistant answers, not even for the queries it should have owned. Competitors with thinner catalogs did.
Three plugins were writing Product schema onto the same pages, carrying three conflicting prices. Every product page argued with itself, so a parser had nothing it could trust.
We cut the schema down to one emitter, fed straight from the catalog. The merchant feed was rebuilt from that same source and parity checks went in behind it. Within weeks the store began appearing in assistant answers for its niche.
Questions
Ecommerce AI readiness: what store owners ask us.
What does ecommerce AI readiness cost?
It comes with the Growth plan at $3,900/month. If you’d rather treat it as one job with an end date, we scope a fixed price after the free triage. Monitoring on its own sits in the Monitor plan at $595/month. See plans.
Isn’t this just SEO with a new name?
There’s real overlap. Clean schema and crawlable pages help both. The difference is who you’re writing for. SEO aims at a person scanning a results page — this aims at a machine assembling one answer. The machine won’t forgive a contradiction, and it reads your returns policy rather than your headline.
Can you guarantee we’ll show up in AI answers?
No. Nobody honestly can. The assistants don’t publish how they pick, and what they do publish keeps changing. What we commit to is the part you control and can measure: valid schema, prices that agree everywhere, accurate feeds, policies a machine can read.
Which platforms do you work with?
WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento and OpenCart. The thinking is the same on all four. The plumbing isn’t. On WooCommerce we usually pull out the plugin-generated schema and put back one emitter we’ve audited ourselves.
How do you measure any of this?
Schema validation runs on every deploy. We diff the feed against the live site, crawl the store, and split AI referrals out in your analytics so you can watch the trend without asking us. Then, every so often, we sit down and ask the assistants about your products to see what they say.
